A charming stay in Granada

The location is fantastic, just steps from local attractions. I enjoyed the clean accommodations and found the staff welcoming and always eager to assist. Breakfast, although basic, was a nice treat on the rooftop café with views of the city.

However, the soundproofing left much to be desired, as I could hear noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway. Also, the lack of air conditioning during warm weather made for uncomfortable nights, especially after long days exploring the city.

Loved the central spot, making it easy to hit the shops and grab food nearby. The parking across the street was super convenient. Don't miss checking out the local cafes for breakfast instead of the hotel’s offerings.

Only downside was the mildewy smell in the bathroom, which was a bit off-putting when we checked in, but didn’t ruin our overall fun.

My experience at Hotel Universal was far from pleasant. The room was unbearably noisy, as I could hear every conversation from the hall and neighboring rooms, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Additionally, the air conditioning was not functional, and the reception staff were dismissive about my concerns, saying it wasn't necessary for the current weather. This lack of attention to guest comfort was very disappointing.

Staying here for a couple of nights while exploring Granada was mostly enjoyable. The location was excellent, only a short walk from the Alhambra and Mirador de San Nicolas. I especially loved the rooftop bar, where I could unwind with some drinks and tapas while soaking in the views of the city. The room was a decent size, and while the air conditioning was a bit of an issue, the surrounding area was lively and fun to explore.

the location of hotel universal is fantastic, right in the heart of everything. the staff was super kind and gave us great info about parking. it was a bonus that the beds were actual double beds, making our family stay comfortable.

Our bathroom experience was less than ideal. The layout was awkward, and the showerhead holder was broken. It just made things a bit tricky during our stay.

Wi-Fi was reliable and fast, but luggage storage was poorly managed before check-in.

The air conditioning needed attention. it started to smell like smoke, so I had to keep the window open, leading to noise from the street. Some staff were helpful, but my concerns about the air quality felt ignored, which was disappointing. I recommend checking out local cafés for breakfast since the hotel offerings were minimal.
